Section 2, subsection A, of Bylaw No. 6 of the Association provides as follows with respect to membership :
Persons who passed examinations which the Board of the Association shall indicate from time to time as acceptable to the Association and in addition thereto have had five years approved experience in land economy of which at least one year shall be in Canadian practice. Such approved experience may include services rendered in connection with the management or valuation, development, alienation, financing or research of real property, and shall include the expression of opinions as to the economics and use of real property for a fee or as a salaried official or employee.
Other examinations acceptable to the Association pursuant to the above are:
i) An undergraduate degree or post graduate degree from a recognized University (e.g. B.A., B.Sc., B.E.S., B.Comm., M.B.A.) in a discipline identified with two or more functional groupings, and who has five years of approved experience in land economy.
or
(ii) A currently held designation of an institution, society or association having as a discipline one or more of the functional groupings, which designation shall have been gained by examination, and who has five years of approved experience in land economy Designations gained by examination acceptable to the Association of Ontario Land Economists are those of theĀ
