Sales of newly built single-family homes in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) continued to outperform historical averages in June, though the condominium market remained subdued despite signs of improvement, according to new figures released on Wednesday.

The Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) said 1,175 new homes were sold across the GTA in June, up from the record low recorded in June 2025, but still 52 per cent below the 10-year average of 2,456 homes for the month.

There were 902 single-family home sales in June, including detached, semi-detached, linked homes and townhouses. BILD said that represents a significant increase from June 2025, and is 36 per cent above the 10-year average.

The benchmark price for a new single-family home in the GTA was $1,275,458 in June, down 15.5 per cent over the last 12 months.
